So once again I entered a few images into the Take a View landscape photographer of the year 2016, the most prestigious landscape competition in the UK. Last year I got an image commended, printed in the book, and on display at Waterloo Station. The aim was to do the same again this year, and anything more would be a bonus. When you consider the amount of entries (10-20,000) to be whittled down to just 150 images, to get the commendation means a lot.
So here’s the 13 shots that I entered…

Out of my two shortlisted images, I’m happy to say that my Buachaille Etive Beag image got commended by the judges, and will be printed in the 10th edition of Take a View Landscape Photographer of the Year book, and will be on display at Waterloo Station from the 21st November.
So two years I’ve entered the competition, and I’ve had an image commended both years, which means a lot when you consider the standard of photography in the book, and also to have my work recognised by top landscape photographers on the judging panel.
To say I’m happy is an understatement! Now time to work on getting images to maybe enter next year!
